Champagne Brut vs Extra Dry

The Champagne sweetness scale goes from Extra Brut to Doux. It’s based on the grams of residual sugar in the wine.  Extra Brut is the driest style and Doux is the sweetest.

Brut is the most popular Champagne style. The amount of sugar is very low, so it will taste dry.

Extra Dry Champagne will have a hint of sweetness or more noticeable sweetness depending on the sugar level.
